At A Glance Departures

Relaxing morning tea and estate tour followed by a food and wine flight.

Leeuwin Immersion Experience is a relaxed and informative introduction to our Estate. You will be treated to a morning tea, inclusive of coffee or tea and freshly baked scones, in our private alfresco verandah setting. Your tour host will provide an overview of the history of our region and Leeuwin Estate, information on our world class Leeuwin Concert Series and the philosophy behind our winemaking.

Following morning tea you will be escorted on a behind the scenes tour of the winemaking process, incorporating a visit to our Art Gallery to view the collection of contemporary Australian artworks commissioned for the famous Leeuwin Estate “Art Series” labels. Our Wine and Food flight will await you at the conclusion of the tour as your host guides you through five wine and food matches perfectly created from our seasonal menu.

    Margaret River is located in the beautiful south west region of Western Australia. A three hour drive south from Perth, this picturesque region offers both stunning beaches and a huge selection of world-class wineries.

    Perth, Margaret River boasts perfect barrels of water and wine, world-class surf, soaring forests and ancient caves.

    Highly regarded as a producer of powerful yet elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River is also famous for its white wines, especially its Chardonnay and Semillon Sauvignon blends. Margaret River’s ideal climate, good soil and maritime environment produce consistently superior vintages that confirm its reputation as one of the premium wine producing regions of the world.

    A relatively young wine region, it was ‘discovered’ in the early 1970s by scientists Professor Harold Olmo and Dr John Gladstones who identified it as a potentially great grape growing region.

    As well as its 155 wineries, Margaret River has a vibrant food scene with fine restaurants, boutique breweries, art galleries and fresh produce.


    Family owned winery celebrating wine, food and a long association with the arts. The Leeuwin ‘Art Series’ labels have become famous for being painted by Australian contemporary artists. Special events held through the year, include cooking classes, wine dinners and an al fresco summer concert series.

    The estate has been ranked as a 5-star winery by James Halliday and received Hugh Johnson’s highest ranking.

    Combines fine wine and food in a picturesque setting to provide the perfect environment for special events and experiences, the estate has earned an international reputation for producing outstanding wines, an award-winning restaurant, Art Gallery and private airstrip.



    Leeuwin Estate’s restaurant wins awards for its seasonal menus that feature the district’s produce, including fresh seafood.You can order museum wines to accompany your meal or choose a wine and food flight mini degustation with tastings of four Art Series wines.

    Leeuwin Estate was ranked number 4 in The Daily Meal’s list of the world’s top 20 Winery Restaurants and has been voted "Regional Restaurant of the Year" - The West Australian Good Food Guide 2012.

    The Leeuwin Estate restaurant is renowned for utilising a “paddock to plate” philosophy, focussing on regional produce and working closely with local artisan suppliers to create seasonal menus.

    Free-range pork and lamb are sourced from a local boutique producer and Leeuwin’s proximity to the ocean ensures local, fresh seafood is always a key ingredient in each menu.



    Wander through the estate art gallery to see paintings by the who’s- who of Australian contemporary art. All works were commissioned for the Leeuwin’s famous Art Series wine labels.

    The tasting cellar incorporates three daily behind-the-scenes tours of the winemaking process and a comprehensive wine tasting and educational experience.

    Bookings are essential and subject to availability at time of booking. As alcohol is served all guests must be over the age of 18 years. No cancellation fees charged if more than 7days notice is given, within 7days 50% of the experience price will be charged. Please advise any dietary requirements at time of booking. Guests should call 48 hours prior to arrival to re-confirm their experience.
