  • FEATURES

With more than 17,000 islands and over 300 languages spoken across them, and individual landscapes and heritage revealing extraordinary diversity, Indonesia is a beguiling country offering a myriad of adventures. Known as tropical idylls, the Indonesian Islands stretch more than 4000km from east to west enveloped with landscapes of rugged peaks, tropical jungles and surging rivers. The sprawling, island-packed jungle archipelago offers trekking, cycling, white-water rafting, diving, and snorkelling for active and adventurous travellers.

Bali & Ubud: Known as the "Land of the Gods", Bali enchants with its sheer natural beauty of looming volcanoes and lush terraced rice fields. Ubud is Bali's cultural capital, which has dramatic dances and colourful ceremonies as well as galleries of arts and crafts. It's also home to good restaurants, cafes and streets of shops selling woodcarving, silverware, textiles, paintings and sculpture.

The heart of the nation, Java is an island of megacities, mesmerising natural beauty, magical archaeological sites and profound traditions in art, music and dance. Home to the world's biggest Buddhist temple, Borobudur, with intricate lattice stupas set among paddy fields, Java also has 12 national parks for you to explore including UNESCO-listed Ujung Kulon, and volcanoes to climb including Mt Bromo and Merapi.

Moyo Island is a nature reserve lying east of Bali and Lombok, and at the mouth of Saleh Bay. Framed by the beyond-blue waters, beautiful beaches of fine coral sand, and iridescent coral reefs, Moyo is ravishingly remote for barefoot luxury experiences. Trek through lush forests and encounter pretty waterfalls. Get active with world-class snorkeling, diving, sailing, fishing or island-hopping. Wildlife to see include Rusa deer, wild pig, monitor lizards, and 21 species of bat. Swim with turtles and stargaze on the empty beach. A truly unique natural experience awaits.

  • Accommodation

You'll enjoy eight nights exclusive accommodation at four of Aman’s ultra luxury Indonesian resorts.

    Amandari
Amandari, which means "peaceful spirits", is set amidst rice terraces and sacred grounds on the fringe of Ubud, Bali’s cultural capital. Perched on an escarpment high above the meandering Ayung River Gorge in the village of Kedewatan, the resort instills a real sense of connection to its natural surroundings and cultural heritage. A stone tiger, left by a seventh-century Hindu priest as a reminder of the village’s blessing, sits beside two shrines 129 steps below your Bali luxury accommodation. Guest suites take the form of village houses, with alang-alang roofs and interiors of coconut, teak and bamboo. You'll stay in a Village Suite at Amandari for two nights.

    Amanwana
Set on a beach in a secluded cove overlooking the Flores Sea. Amanwana is a wilderness hideaway with accommodation in luxury tents. Low-impact and eco-friendly, the standalone tents are decked out sensitively with hardwood floors, walls and windows, and with soaring, air-conditioned canopies sheltering sumptuous daybeds, ensuite bathrooms and net-draped king-size beds. You'll stay in a Jungle Tent at Amanwana for two nights.

    Amankila
Promising serene seclusion and breathtaking views, Amankila, a hilltop hideaway on Bali's eastern shores is enveloped in lush greenery with sacred Mount Agung as its dramatic backdrop. Ancient temples, royal ruins and peaceful hills are just the start of the story. Thatched-roof suites are set on stilts, just visible above the treetops, and are decorated with paras stone and furniture inlaid with pearl and coconut shell. A series of frangipani-lined walkways connects the property’s buildings, conceived by architect ED Tuttle. You'll stay in a Garden Suite at Amankila for two nights.

    Amanjiwo
Overlooking the world’s largest Buddhist sanctuary and surrounded by rainforest, hills and rice paddies, Amanjiwo occupies a special place in the rural heartland of central Java. The temple-like hideaway, built entirely from blush-beige local paras Jogja limestone, has spring ceilings, colonnades and a central domed stupa roof that mimics Borobudur in the distance. You'll stay in a Garden Suite at Amanjiwo for two nights.
