  • Accommodation

You will stay in handpicked unique and inspiring hotels, camps and lodges throughout the journey:

1st Night: Desert Cave, Coober Pedy
The Desert Cave allows you to experience dug-out style living, underground shops, bar and opal display areas - all within sandstone surrounds in the heart of Coober Pedy. It's an experience of a lifetime.

2nd Night: Chifley Alice Springs Resort
Situated on the banks of the famous Todd River, Chifley® Hotel Alice Springs offers spectacular views of the towering River Red Gum. Well-manicured lush green lawns of the hotel create a relaxing atmosphere, letting you soak in the Australian Outback charm in the Northern Territory (NT).

3rd & 4th Night: Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge
Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge is located in the heart of the beautiful Mary River Wetlands 2 hours drive east of Darwin via the Arnhem Hwy. The lodge is named after the explorer John McDouall Stuart who trekked through this area on his epic journey to become the first person to successfully cross the Australian continent (from southern Australia to the northern coast in 1862). The property was once known as Jimmy Creek Abattoir which processed the large numbers of water buffalo that inhabited the wetlands during the 1960's to the early 1980's, & was part of the original Point Stuart Station. Perfectly situated, it is the ideal base to explore the wilderness of Australia's Top End – Mary River National Park, Shady Camp Reserve & Kakadu National Park.

    5th, 6th & 7th Night: Bullo River Station
Bullo River Station was made famous by top-selling Australian author Sara Henderson, whose American husband Charles Henderson developed Bullo River in the 1950's, with the story of station life vividly chronicled in Sara's books. Lined with beautiful, smooth-bark boab trees, the long, low stone homestead with its facade of five arches is cool and quiet even in the heat of the day. Guests are welcome to wander in, chat with the Bullo team, help themselves to a cold drink or just chill out in the living area – it's a casual affair. Guest accommodation, located only a few metres from the main homestead is a purpose built area consisting of 12 double/twin rooms off one central corridor, each with airconditioning and ensuite. The decor is simple – cool, tiled floors, indigenous art on the walls and no phones or televisions. All rooms are serviced daily and have sliding door access to the lawns surrounding the homestead.

    8th, 9th & 10th Night: Berkeley River Lodge
Only accessible by air, this is one of the last true wilderness areas on earth, between the Timor Sea and Berkeley River sunsets. Leave modern life far behind and relax into the rhythms of nature in your private villa floating atop the coastal dunes. Be one of the privileged few to set eyes upon breathtaking wilderness landscapes by river cruise or helicopter flight. This is one place that will truly blow you away and you’ll remember long after you’ve returned from your tour.

11th & 12th Night: Cable Beach Club Resort
Take one world-famous beach – complete with Indian Ocean sunsets, gently swaying palm trees and Kimberley charm – add the finest food, stylish accommodation and unique experiences; and you have the ideal setting for a memorable holiday. Cable Beach, home of the award-winning Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa – a holiday destination like no other. Your stay will be full of surprising wonders and endless ways to reconnect; with nature, your partner, your family and yourself. Cable Beach Club offers a place to unwind, with two pools, delicious cuisine at a choice of four restaurants, leisure facilities, the first Australian L'Occitane spa and a personal touch to every experience.

    13th & 14th Night: Prairie Hotel
A historic, stylish outback hotel in a town with an official population of two. The Prairie’s use of local and indigenous ingredients for their famed restaurant menu has attracted visitors the world over and won them numerous awards. Combined with stunning scenery and expert guiding of the Flinders Ranges, their impressive collection of aboriginal artworks and warm, outback hospitality – you won’t want to leave.
