  • Royal Melb Golf Club West - BLACK LABEL EXPERIENCE

Australia's most respected club and highest rated course (the west course) Royal Melbourne is consistently recognised internationally as well as at home.

Designed by renowned Scottish architect Dr Alister Mackenzie in 1926, volumes have been written on the qualities of the West Course. Put simply it's a combination of the greatest land, greatest design and greatest construction ever seen in this country. Picking out West Course highlights is difficult. The bold bunkering is visually spectacular while the rough areas around the tees and bunkers are a mix of native grasses, which naturally frame each hole, providing great definition and contrast without distracting from the strategy. Full of dramatic undulation, fertile sandy soil and with a natural rugged appearance, it was a gift from the golfing gods.

Ranked #1 in the country and as high as #6 in the world, Royal Melbourne's West Course has firmly solidified itself as the most prestigious private golf club in Australia. This Alister MacKenzie masterpiece is the crown jewel of the world famous golf region known as the 'Melbourne Sandbelt'. Boasting 36 holes comprised of the 'West' and 'East' courses, be one of the few to grace this magnificent, bucket-list course.
